Notes

Unit 4 entered commercial operation on 5 September 2024. All four Barakah units are now commercially operational, generating a combined 40 TWh of electricity annually, providing up to 25 percent of the UAEs electricity. Unit 4 was connected to the grid on 23 March 2024. On 17 May 2026, a drone attack struck an electrical generator outside the plants internal security perimeter during the Israel-Iran conflict. The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation confirmed the incident did not affect safety and no radioactive material was released. Barakah is the largest single source of clean electricity in the region. Built by a consortium led by Korea Electric Power Corporation.
