Framatome U.S. Government Solutions received $8.8 million in DOE funding announced May 14, 2026 for fuel fabrication qualification work at its Richland, Washington facility. This directly supports the NuScale NuFUEL-HTP2 fuel qualification programme — targeting production of at least 444 fuel assemblies for NuScale's first US customer as early as 2030. The DOE award provides additional federal support on top of the NuScale-Framatome commercial partnership announced in early 2026.
