Notes

Serbia's National Assembly voted in December 2024 to end the 35-year prohibition on nuclear power plant construction. Serbia aims for 1200 MW of capacity from small modular reactors. EDF is conducting a preliminary technical study. The country plans to complete the first two phases of the nuclear programme by 2032, with the first plant after 2040.
