Terrestrial Energy's Project TETRA was selected for the US DOE's Advanced Reactor Pilot Program in August 2025. The IMSR is a 4th generation reactor using molten salt as both fuel and coolant. The plant design delivers 390 MWe and 882 MWth. The company signed ground lease agreements with Texas A&M University System for development at the RELLIS campus.
