The NRC as lead agency and the US Army Corps of Engineers as cooperating agency completed a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for TVA's construction permit application for the Clinch River Nuclear Site on April 6, 2026 (ADAMS ML26035A285). The Notice of Availability was published in the Federal Register (91 FR 17312). The NRC's Advanced Safety Evaluation Report without open items was also completed. TVA submitted the construction permit application in late May 2025. The NRC had previously completed its environmental review in October 2025 and issued a final safety evaluation in December 2025. The construction permit decision was initially expected in the first half of 2026.
