Aalo Atomics completed assembly of its Critical Test Reactor at Idaho National Laboratory and expects to achieve criticality before July 4, 2026 — one of three DOE reactor pilot programme teams targeting this milestone. Aalo has also secured a Texas site to build 30 microreactors commercially. The company completed a Conceptual Design Review and Nuclear Safety Design Agreement in 2025 and is conducting hardware development at a new 145,000 sq-ft facility in Torrance, California.
