Slovakia operates nuclear power plants at Bohunice and Mochovce and is evaluating BWRX-300 deployment as part of its energy transition strategy. Slovakia is a member of the EU SMR Alliance and supported the EU nuclear declaration. The country's existing nuclear expertise and grid infrastructure make it well-positioned for early European SMR deployment. Slovak utility SE (Slovenské elektrárne) has engaged with multiple SMR developers.
