SMR developer Deep Atomic and a consortium including Parker Tide LLC, Clayco, Gleeds, Paragon Energy Solutions, EvapCo Dry Cooling, Bedrock Labs, Azimuth Renewables, Future-Tech, and MoonliteAI proposed a nuclear-powered AI data centre campus at Idaho National Laboratory in February 2026. The phased approach begins with a data centre using grid, geothermal, and solar power within 24-36 months, followed by Deep Atomic's MK60 SMR. The MK60 is a 60 MWe light-water SMR with 60 MW of integrated cooling capacity and 200 MWth thermal output — "engineered specifically for AI and HPC loads." Clayco announced plans to oversee delivery for the project in February 2026.
