Notes

The DOE's Launch Pad programme was created to demonstrate a wide range of advanced nuclear technologies on both federal and non-federal lands — expanding beyond the Reactor Pilot Programme focused on federal DOE sites. Launch Pad fosters an innovative ecosystem supporting expanded iterative testing and faster advanced nuclear technology deployment. Four companies were announced as initial selections in April 2026 with the programme open for additional applicants through July 2026. Launch Pad complements the DOME microreactor test facility at INL and extends demonstration capability to commercial and industrial sites.
