Last Energy signed a memorandum of understanding with DP World, a logistics and trade specialist headquartered in the UAE, in November 2025 to establish the world's first port-centric micro nuclear power plant at DP World's London Gateway site — the UK's largest and most integrated logistics hub. The proposed PWR-20 microreactor will supply London Gateway with 20 MW of electricity to power the logistics hub. Expected to begin operation in 2030. The contract represents an investment valued at £80 million ($107 million). This is one of the first industrial-scale nuclear microreactor deployments proposed for a port facility globally.
