Romania is one of Last Energy's primary target markets for European SMR deployment. The company envisions deploying multiple 20 MWe PWR-20 units at industrial sites in Romania, positioning the country as a dual SMR deployment hub alongside the larger NuScale VOYGR project at Doicești. Last Energy received a $103.7 million US Export-Import Bank letter of intent in December 2024 partly targeting European deployments.
