Steady Energy has a pre-investment phase agreement with Kuopian Energia for district heating deployment of the LDR-50 in Kuopio, eastern Finland. Zoning and environmental permitting is underway. The LDR-50 operates at low temperatures specifically suited for district heating — directly replacing gas and biomass heat plants. Finland has approximately 3,000 aging heat plants across the country needing renewal, making it a natural SMR heat market.
