The first meeting of the joint coordinating committee under the Intergovernmental Agreement between Russia and Myanmar was held in June 2023. Rosatom presented a pre-feasibility study report. A memorandum of understanding on Nuclear Infrastructure Assessment and Enhancement was signed. Cooperation includes training a workforce for building and operating an SMR.
