New Jersey officials are eyeing sites including land near Salem nuclear plant — one of only six sites pre-approved for new nuclear facilities. PSEG Nuclear CEO noted the moratorium lifting is welcome but more will be needed. NJ's two existing plants (Hope Creek and Salem) provide 40% of state electricity and 80% of carbon-free energy.
