Oklo broke ground on site preparation for its Aurora microreactor at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska — a strategic military deployment providing energy independence for the remote Arctic installation. The US military is a key early customer for microreactor technology given its remote base energy vulnerability. Oklo has also signed a 1.2 GW deal with Meta for multiple Aurora reactors and secured DOE approval for Nuclear Safety Design Agreements at Idaho National Laboratory.
