Proposed campus of up to six Westinghouse AP1000 reactors, about 6.6 GW if fully built, in Lewis County, eastern Kentucky, along the Ohio River, developed by The Nuclear Company with landowner Sam Howard; the first phase is reported as two AP1000s. Announced on October 21, 2026. The Nuclear Company says it has site control and targets the start of construction in 2028, subject to federal approvals; early work covers site characterisation, geotechnical and environmental studies and transmission interconnection planning. Lewis County has voted to apply for 'nuclear-ready community' designation from the Kentucky Nuclear Energy Development Authority; that application is pending. No Nuclear Regulatory Commission filing, funding or power purchaser has been announced.
