Rolls-Royce, UK National Nuclear Laboratory, and Japan Atomic Energy Agency signed trilateral memorandums of cooperation on advanced modular reactor technology, specifically HTGRs and coated particle fuel. Rolls-Royce AMR has power output up to 25 MWe using coated particle fuel and will be factory built.
