Notes

Saudi Arabia's National Atomic Energy Project includes plans to build two reactors totaling approximately 2.8 GWe initially. KA-CARE is in competitive dialogue with five vendors: Westinghouse, EDF, KEPCO, CNNC, and Rosatom. Vendor selection has been delayed past 2025. First unit commissioning is targeted for 2036. Saudi Arabia aims for nuclear capacity of 17 GWe by 2040.
