Terrestrial Energy signed a manufacturing and supply contract with Springfields Fuels, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company, for the design and construction of an Integral Molten Salt Reactor fuel production system. The agreement encompasses deconversion, fabrication, packaging, and transportation services for IMSR fuel production, paving the way for pilot plant construction. Springfields Fuels operates the UK's only nuclear fuel manufacturing site in Lancashire, providing IMSR with access to established European nuclear fuel infrastructure.
