Notes

The US Department of the Army launched the Janus Programme in October 2025 to build microreactors at military bases — selecting nine bases as potential sites. The Janus Programme builds upon Project Pele, the transportable nuclear reactor developed at Idaho National Laboratory. Idaho National Laboratory, which worked on Project Pele, is also working on the Janus Programme. Eight vendors were selected for the Advanced Nuclear Power for Installations programme in April 2025: Antares Nuclear, BWXT Advanced Technologies, General Atomics, Kairos Power, Oklo, Radiant Industries, Westinghouse Government Services, and X-energy.
