Westinghouse is preparing for a 2026 fuelled test of its eVinci microreactor at Idaho National Laboratory — a key milestone toward commercial deployments planned by 2029. In December 2024 Westinghouse achieved a landmark when the eVinci's Advanced Logic System Version 2 became the first microreactor I&C system to earn NRC approval. Commercial deployments target a Saskatchewan pilot, FNPP projects with CORE POWER and Prodigy Clean Energy, and remote industrial applications.
