Turkey's first nuclear power plant being built by Rosatom under a Build-Own-Operate model in the southern Mersin province. Unit 1 is in commissioning with cold hydraulic tests underway as of June 2026. Unit 2 received its commissioning permit in May 2026. The final four steam generators for Unit 4 were delivered in June 2026. When all four units are completed, the plant will meet about 10% of Turkey's electricity needs.
