Blykalla is targeting a site licence and commercial deployment for its first SEALER-55 reactor in Sweden — a 55 MWe passively safe lead-cooled fast reactor based on more than 25 years of research at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The OECD Nuclear Energy Agency's annual SMR dashboard identifies Blykalla as having the most mature advanced reactor concept in Europe. Following the $50 million December 2025 raise and the Oklo partnership, the company is accelerating commercial and regulatory work. The Swedish government's favourable nuclear financing programme provides a pathway to state risk-sharing for the first deployment.
