Bruce Power is executing the world's largest nuclear life extension project — refurbishing all eight CANDU reactor units at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station on Lake Huron, Ontario. The major component replacement programme restores units to like-new condition for 30-40 additional years of operation. Bruce Power is one of Canada's largest electricity generators and its life extension is central to Ontario's nuclear strategy alongside the new Darlington BWRX-300 construction. Total programme value exceeds CAD 13 billion.
