Blue Bird Energy signed a Letter of Intent with Poland's Synthos Green Energy in January 2026 to establish a joint venture aimed at constructing a fleet of up to six BWRX-300 reactors in Bulgaria. The main shareholders in Blue Bird Energy are Glavbolgarstroy and Asarel-Medet JSC. Operational date source: GE Vernova Hitachi website estimates commercial operation by end of 2030.
