Poland's Synthos Green Energy signed an LOI with Hungary's Hunatom (part of the Paks II Group) to establish a project development pre-framework for up to 10 BWRX-300 SMRs in Hungary — a potential 3 GW fleet. SGE is the designated project developer for the BWRX-300 across the Central and Eastern European region. Hungary already operates the Paks nuclear plant and is constructing Paks II VVER-1200 units with Rosatom, positioning it as a dual-track nuclear expander.
