Uranium mining operations restarted at the McClean Lake project in June 2025 after a 17-year hiatus using the SABRE mining method. About 250 tonnes of high-grade ore was recovered from the first mining cavity. The target for 2025 is 800,000 pounds U3O8. Around 3 million pounds has been identified for potential additional production from 2026 to 2030.
