Elementl Power signed an Early Works Agreement with GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy for up to five BWRX-300 SMRs at a 700-acre site in Meigs County, southeast Ohio. The company filed a request with PJM Interconnection for the first 600 MW connection. The plant would be privately financed, with construction targeted to begin in 2030 and first unit completion in 2034. Elementl Power, founded in 2022, aims to deploy over 10 GW of next-generation nuclear in the US by 2035.
