Westinghouse and SaskPower are advancing the eVinci microreactor for remote community applications in Saskatchewan. The eVinci can be transported by truck and deployed in weeks without extensive site preparation. Canada's SMR Action Plan specifically prioritises remote community and off-grid applications where diesel generators currently dominate. Multiple Canadian utilities have signed MOUs with Westinghouse.
