Lawson Machine 26 (LM26) is General Fusion's world-first large-scale magnetized target fusion demonstration machine. The device achieved its first plasma in February 2025 and its first plasma compression in April 2025. LM26 is the first MTF demonstration machine built at a commercially relevant scale. General Fusion aims for commercial fusion energy by the early to mid-2030s.
