Notes

Four-unit 700 MWe PHWR project near village Napla, Banswara district, Rajasthan. Foundation stone laid by PM Modi 26 September 2025. Atomic Energy Regulatory Board granted siting consent May 2025. Excavation for Units 1 and 2 approved on 27 March 2026. Being developed by ASHVINI, a 51 percent NPCIL and 49 percent NTPC joint venture formed in 2024. Part of ten-unit fleet mode programme. Initial unit scheduled for commissioning by 2031. Total investment approximately INR 122100 crore including associated solar and transmission projects.
