Poland's first small modular reactor is to be constructed in Wloclawek, announced in August 2025. In June 2026, OSGE signed an agreement with the City of Wloclawek for cooperation on construction of up to six BWRX-300 reactors. Environmental and location studies are underway. The first unit is targeted for completion by 2032.
