Radiant Nuclear announced it will build its first Kaleidos microreactor manufacturing facility on a former Manhattan Project site in Oak Ridge, Tennessee — the birthplace of nuclear energy. Facility construction began in early 2026 with production expected to scale to over a dozen units per year by the late 2020s. By 2028 Radiant aims to begin rolling out the first factory-built nuclear generators. The Oak Ridge location provides access to nuclear engineering talent from ORNL and the University of Tennessee.
