NAC Kazatomprom JSC is Kazakhstan's national operator for uranium, rare metals, and nuclear-fuel-cycle products, spanning exploration, uranium mining, uranium-product production, and related research; it is not an SMR or reactor developer. Its Kazakhstan mining portfolio uses in-situ recovery technology, and it sells uranium and uranium products to nuclear-power operators under long-term, short-term, and spot contracts. In its 2026-08-03 second-quarter and half-year operations and trading update, Kazatomprom reported higher global uranium contracting activity, including first-half spot-market transactions of 30.1 million pounds U3O8 and long-term transactions of 32.5 million pounds U3O8.
