Tüpraş is a Turkish oil refining and energy company, controlled by the Koç group, that controls most of Turkey's refining capacity and aims to be carbon neutral by 2050. On 24 October 2026 it signed a cooperation agreement with the US Trade and Development Agency for a one-year study of small modular reactor technologies, covering maturity and licensing status, safety, fuel supply, economics and industrial uses, and environmental impact.
