The Brazilian Multipurpose Reactor (RMB) will be built on a 2 million square metre site in Ipero, Sao Paulo state. CNEN signed an MoU with INVAP in September 2025 for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction agreement. The total project cost is estimated at USD 500 million. Construction is targeted to begin in H1 2026, completion by 2030, and operations by 2031.
