Czech power company CEZ signed a strategic partnership with Rolls-Royce SMR to develop and deploy SMRs at the Temelín nuclear power plant site. This is separate from the large KHNP APR-1000 contract for Dukovany. Czech Republic is pursuing a dual-track nuclear expansion strategy with both large reactors and SMRs. CEZ is one of Central Europe's largest power companies with deep nuclear operating experience.
