Yeongdeok in North Gyeongsang Province selected by KHNP for two new large-scale nuclear reactors with combined capacity of 2.8 GWe under South Korea's 11th Basic Plan (2024-2038). Site selection committee conducted comprehensive evaluation including environmental surveys and public opinion. KHNP aims to obtain construction permit in early 2030s with completion targeted by 2038.
