Arup is a global engineering and design consultancy selected by Great British Energy–Nuclear in May 2026 to provide early-phase foundation engineering and design support for the Wylfa nuclear power plant — the UK's first SMR site. Arup's nuclear engineering team has extensive experience in nuclear site assessment, geotechnical engineering, and civil design. The Wylfa appointment positions Arup as a key supply chain partner for the UK's flagship SMR programme.
