GS Energy is the energy arm of South Korea's GS Group and a key NuScale Power partner in South Korea. The company invested $40 million in NuScale and signed an MOU with Uljin County for a NuScale VOYGR-6 SMR plant at the Uljin Nuclear Hydrogen National Industrial Complex. GS Energy will operate the plant supplying clean electricity and heat to hydrogen production. The company is also part of the Samsung C&T and Doosan Enerbility consortium exploring NuScale SMR deployment across Asia.
