About

Kazatomprom is the world's largest uranium producer, providing approximately 40-45% of global primary uranium supply. In 2025, production reached 25,839 tU (67.18 million pounds U3O8, 100% basis) — up approximately 10-11% year-on-year. The company announced a planned approximately 10% production cut for 2026 (to 27,500-29,000 tU) to prioritise market balance and profitability ("value over volume"). JV Inkai (Cameco 40%, Kazatomprom 60%) resumed after a brief January 2025 production suspension. New 2025 uranium supply agreements: Axpo Power AG (Switzerland), ČEZ (Czech Republic), and Kansai Electric Power (Japan). Kazatomprom's 2025-2034 strategy emphasises sustainable growth and expansion across the nuclear fuel cycle.
