RoPower Nuclear SA is the Romanian joint venture company established to build, own, and operate Romania's first SMR plant — six 77 MWe NuScale VOYGR-6 modules at the former Doicești coal plant site in Dâmbovița County. RoPower is equally owned by Nuclearelectrica SA (Romania's state nuclear utility) and Nova Power & Gas (part of E-Infra Group). Shareholders approved the FID on February 12, 2026 — Europe's most advanced SMR project. US financing support: EXIM Bank $98M loan (2024 pre-project services), DFC LOI for up to $1B, EXIM Bank LOI for up to $3B for deployment. FEED 1 and FEED 2 (Fluor, Samsung C&T) are completed.
