RX is a Korean nuclear engineering startup founded in 2023 by KAERI engineers. It is developing RX-50, a light-water small modular reactor for heat supply that aims to replace fossil-fuel heat sources with carbon-free thermal energy, in a consortium with KAERI, and has completed its conceptual design through the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Deep Tech Challenge Project. It follows a fabless model that creates value through reactor design and intellectual property, and offers SMR design, analysis, testing and licensing services including NSSS and core component design, plus a nuclear-specialised AI tool for drafting licensing documents. RX was selected as a KAERI Core Company in January 2026 and received a Minister's Award for Outstanding Deep Tech Startup in January 2026.
