Russia's floating nuclear power plant has been commercially operating in Pevek since 2020, supplying heat and electricity to the remote town. Contains two KLT-40S reactors of 35 MWe each. First operational SMR-class plant in the world. Russia is developing a follow-on larger floating plant (RITM-200M).
