Notes

Concrete pouring begun for reactor shaft at Leningrad II-4 (unit 8). Reinforced concrete structure will stand 34 metres tall. First five tiers to be completed over three months up to nine metres height. Core catcher to be delivered in early July for installation later that month. Reactor installation planned for second half of 2029. Unit 8 planned for commissioning in 2032, replacing older RBMK units.
