Amentum is a global engineering and technology services company with major nuclear operations in the US and UK. In May 2026 the company announced plans to create 3,000 new UK jobs over four years on the back of nuclear power and defence growth. Amentum secured a major Sellafield waste management contract and is positioning as a key engineering partner for the UK's SMR programme. The company also works on Monju prototype fast reactor decommissioning in Japan through its Cavendish Nuclear subsidiary.
