Hunatom is Hungary's nuclear energy development company, part of the Paks II Group overseeing Hungary's nuclear expansion. The company signed an LOI with Poland's Synthos Green Energy for a pre-development framework for up to 10 BWRX-300 SMRs in Hungary. Hungary already operates the Paks nuclear plant and is constructing two VVER-1200 units at Paks II with Rosatom, making it one of Europe's most nuclear-committed countries alongside France and Finland.
