GE Vernova, through the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy alliance, provides advanced reactor designs, nuclear fuel and nuclear lifecycle services. Its small modular reactor focus is the BWRX-300, a simplified boiling-water reactor designed for up to 300 MW of electricity and using passive safety features, commercially available fuel and modular construction techniques. On 13 August 2026, GE Vernova Hitachi and Blue Energy agreed to advance engineering design, licensing and safety analysis for a planned 2.5-GW gas-plus-nuclear project in Victoria, Texas, subject to a 2027 final investment decision.
