Moltex Energy is developing the Stable Salt Reactor-Wasteburner (SSR-W), uniquely designed to use spent nuclear fuel as its primary fuel source — directly addressing the nuclear waste challenge. The company is advancing at the Point Lepreau site in New Brunswick, Canada in partnership with NB Power. The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission completed Phase 1 of pre-licensing vendor design review.
