About

Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe is Poland's state nuclear utility responsible for building and operating Poland's first nuclear power plant — three AP1000 reactors at the Lubiatowo-Kopalino site in Pomerania targeting first commercial operation in 2033. PEJ submitted a construction licence application to Polish authorities in 2026. In February 2026 the US Export-Import Bank signed a credit agreement with PEJ under the Engineering Multiplier Program — the first milestone of what is expected to be a multi-billion-dollar EXIM financing package. The Westinghouse-Bechtel consortium is performing engineering work.
